Liewen Law is a General Civil Practice law firm with an emphasis on real estate and troubled debt resolution. Our services include, but are not limited to, negotiating unsecured debt, lien stripping outside of bankruptcy, and short sale negotiation.
Ms. Liewen received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and her Juris Doctor from Loyola University School of Law.
While awaiting the results of the Bar Exam, she was a VISTA volunteer assigned to Neighborhood Legal Services in Pacoima, California. There, she received her first experience handling trials as a certified law student.
Upon passing the bar exam, Ms. Liewen went to work for the County of Los Angeles as a trial lawyer -- first as a Deputy Public Defender and then as a Deputy District Attorney – until she was selected as a Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner. Ms. Liewen presided over a variety of cases and legal issues in the criminal, civil and juvenile courts.
After her retirement from the bench, Ms. Liewen's law practice has focused on advocating for consumers.
Ms. Liewen is a respected, knowledgeable and experienced member of the legal community. She and her staff treat each of their clients with dignity and respect.
Ms. Liewen resides in Thousand Oaks and is the proud mother of two sons. Her oldest received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Finance from Eller College of Management, University of Arizona and is a Vice-President of a large multinational bank. Her youngest received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California Marshall School of Business. He is currently completing a Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program at UCLA and is working as an Emergency Room Scribe.
